Financial Assistance for Hearing Aids

Financial Assistance

Regardless of the cause, if you suffer from hearing loss you can feel reassured that there is a hearing aid to suit you. Advances in Hearing Aid Technologies  mean that we now have many more functions in hearing aids than ever before which is helping us to achieve better hearing aid and communication outcomes through our Taylor made hearing rehabilitation program.

All ears Hearing is independently owned and operated and not aligned with any one hearing aid manufacturer which gives us the freedom to plan the hearing loss management for you based on your individual needs. We fit hearing aids from all the major hearing aid manufacturers: Oticon, Phonak, Siemens, Widex, Bernafon, Sonic Innovations and GN Resound

Due to the significant amount of research that goes into developing the advanced technological features for hearing aids, they may involve a significant monetary investment. At All ears Hearing, we aim to minimise the ‘out of pocket’ costs for our patients as much as possible. Pensioners and Veterans can avail the free hearing services from the government through the Australian Government hearing services program.

Job Access Scheme

The Job Access Scheme is an Employment Assistance Fund (EAF) which helps people with disability (hearing impairment) by providing financial assistance to purchase a range of work related communication technology devices, including assistive listening devices (excluding cochlear implants and hearing aids required for general use), paging systems and telephone and computer hardware.

Assistance is available for people who are about to start a job or who are currently working, as well as those who require assistance to find and prepare for work.

The ability to hear clearly in some workplaces is critical to a person’s success, productivity and safety.

For a person who has a hearing difficulty, hearing aids may assist them to communicate more effectively in their workplace. It may be appropriate to apply for funding for these through the Employment Assistance Fund – otherwise known as the Job Access scheme.
